COVID-19 Policies & Guidelines
We deeply care about the safety and wellbeing of every individual in our center, as well as in the community around us. We have developed COVID-19 health and safety regulations based on CDC guidance, as well as with the Virginia State and Arlington County Child Care licensing standards.
Vaccine Mandate
The health and safety of RCC’s employees and children is our top priority. To help ensure that we continue to operate in the safest manner possible, we require all employees to provide one of the following:
- Written evidence of full COVID-19 immunization from an authorized provider or government authority; or
- Request for medical or religious exemption as an accommodation
*Note: Those who receive a medical or religious exemption as an accommodation are expected to present proof of a negative COVID test twice a week, and required to wear a N95 mask at all times.
We are proud to share that 100% of our staff is vaccinated!
Mask Mandate
RCC requires all staff and children over the age of two years old to wear a mask at school, regardless of vaccination status. While parents are not allowed inside the school at this time, they are required to wear a mask at drop-off and pick-up times.
Stay-at-Home Policy
If any staff, child, or household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or been in contact with someone who’s tested positive for COVID-19, we ask that they:
- Stay home and communicate with our administrators what the situation is
- Get tested for COVID-19
- Communicate the results to administration team
If any staff, child, parent, or household member tests positive for COVID-19, they are required to stay home for a 14-day period per CDC guidelines. They must then present a negative COVID-19 test prior to returning to RCC.
